The City of Mid-Sized Dream

Many of us (all of us) who post on this blog share one thing in common. We all went to college in Grand Rapids Michigan. I personally grew up in West Michigan and have a deep connection to the city and believe that it truly is one of the best mid-sized cities in the country. If nothing else, it was an awesome place to experience college with its vibrant culture, accessible downtown and great (albeit relatively small) night life. I believe that many of the bloggers who post on this web-site would agree with me that Grand Rapids is unique and an incredible place to spend four years of our lives. This short video highlights some of the accolades that Grand Rapids has received over the past couple of years (my favorite being Beer City USA).

I have also included this short video from one of the largest art competitions in the world which takes place in lowly Grand Rapids.

Looking for an affordable vacation? Go visit Grand Rapids during the summer which has Lake Michigan and some of the most pristine beaches in the country less that 45 minutes away.

Good Day to you!

My name is Beer Contributor #2, and I have volunteered to contribute to this fine website (they were too nice to say no) and would like to introduce you to myself. I love beer! That’s about all you need to know for now. As my inaugural post, I would like to address a problem almost on par with poverty and excessive butt sweat. Yeah, it’s serious. I have a beer and no opener. What the hell am I to do?

Well, I am a man, so I make problems my bitch. That is not sexist, just a statement of fact. Here is a video of men taking care of a problem. My go to is my wedding ring, made of tungsten carbide and costing about 1/1,000,000th of my wives ring, it has never failed me.

Cheers to beers!
